Congratulations Hogfish Bar & Grill!

Published by Miss Prissy on May 21st, 2013 - in Prissy's Privilege
It’s no secret to those who know me that I LOVE LOVE LOVE Hogfish Bar & Grill!  Fortunately for the Mongelli family and unfortunately for the locals, the tourists who are willing to “get a little crazy” and actually leave Duval Street are also LOVE LOVE LOVING Hogfish.
There is another group who consistently love Hogfish and they are the folks over at “Coastal Living”, Prissy’s favorite publication.  Imagine my joy when the June issue arrived in my mailbox and Hogfish was in there, yet again.  For what?  Glad you asked!

Prissy’s Top 5 Restaurant Pet Peeves

Published by Miss Prissy on May 9th, 2013 - in Prissy's Privilege
Bear So a few month ago, The Handsome Captain™ and I were at one of our favorite places in the Lower Keys.  The owner reads my blog and asked us about some of our biggest restaurant pet peeves.  Interesting question.
Obviously there cannot be *that* many, because we still dine out. Now I totally understand that a restaurant can have an off night.  I also understand that some places have a personality that may not match our’s.

Prissy’s Rumor Has It: Pier House

Published by Miss Prissy on May 8th, 2013 - in Prissy's Privilege

A reliable source told me this morning that Pier House has been sold to The Remington Group for an undisclosed amount.  For those who may not know, The Remington Group also owns two local Waldorf properties: Casa Marina and The Reach.  Apparently Prissy took her blonde pills this morning and didn’t have enough coffee! The Remington Group owns Southernmost House and The Inn at Key West-and now Key West Pier House. My sincere, redhead apologies! 🙂

From Grand Central To “Taste of Key West”: The New York Minute Version

Published by Miss Prissy on May 3rd, 2013 - in Out & About
Taken from Urban Dictionary (no, this is not my usual source of reference), ” A New York Minute is an instant. Or as Johnny Carson once said, it’s the interval between a Manhattan traffic light turning green and the guy behind you honking his horn”.  So for people who know me IRL, they know I don’t say anything quickly.  I once told a co-worker that I don’t tell short stories because I CAN’T tell short stories.  However, some things are short and sweet and don’t end well 🙂
So last Sunday, I was in Manhattan with my best friend (who lives in Westchester) where we enjoyed brunch (can you say endless sangria?), our trek to a wine bar, and ultimately to Grand Central where we would be hopping the Metro North back to Greystone.  Except Laura Ann had a surprise for me on the way to our train.
