|So look what time it is again!
It’s time for us to pick the really cool things going on here this weekend!
Honestly, we all know it’s not such a stretch. This past week has all been about Fantasy Fest and the weekend culminates spectacularly.
The time comes every October when donation money is counted, votes are tallied, and the two biggest “earners” for AIDS Help become the new Fantasy Fest King and Queen.
Last Friday night, Royal Coronation Ball was held at Southernmost Beach Cafe. Even Priss took off her heels for a little while as stilettos tend to sink. The cool sand under my feet felt amazing.
This was a first coronation for both the Handsome Captain and Prissy. Granted, we didn’t stay for the entire show and it was never our intent to do so. Some love the whole thing, others say it’s too damned long. Regardless, we had a few other places to hit.
When we told an Orlando local that we were spending some time in Winter Park, he mentioned Scenic Boat Tour. Actually, he described it as an “old Florida-type attraction”. Our friends met up with us and we all anticipated a peaceful time.
Located at 312 East Morse Boulevard, the pontoon boat starts on Lake Osceola and cruises through three of a seven lake chain. Many of the homes on the tour are owned by some movers and shakers.
We got the very last tour of the day and the weather looked ominous. Eh, what did we care? We weren’t anywhere near the typical Orlando tourist and we were going to see some nature on a beautiful lake. Rain schmain…it was going to be lovely.
|Hey everyone, there’s a new biz in town and Prissy is excited to share! Meet Darryl and Mel, owners of Key West Popsicle Company.
I have spoken of Darryl before, he’s a bartender extraordinaire at Grand Cafe and a winetender at Grand Vin. He has a somewhat interesting sense of humor. 🙂 His signiificant, Mel is also a bartender extraordinaire in her own right.
|So here we are this week, both of us! This is Penn keying at the moment and wanted to share that I got a really good diagnosis at the vet’s this week. That makes me a very happy dog.
For all that Kyla and I don’t agree about, there are three things that we do…this week’s picks!
You all do know that tomorrow night is the beginning of Goombay Festival, right? It is more family-friendly and local…more subdued entertainment prior to the craziness of Fantasy Fest.
