|Since our Mom & Dad are still enjoying what the city of Orlando has to offer, we have decided to give you OUR weekend picks.
We don’t actually agree on anything and we fight like…cats & dogs, except we’re both dogs.
Regardless, we hope somebody gets to enjoy our picks while we’re stuck home eating dog food and waiting for the neighbor to play with us. Big Whoop.
|Good morning, everyone! Our Mom & Dad are vacationing in Orlando and forgot to take one of their computers, so you’re hearing from me.
Anyway, you will likely see a post from my Mom this coming week…or get one from me…or you’ll get one from Penn.
If any of Mom & Dad’s friends talk to them, would you ask why they couldn’t have brought us? Hmmmmm, what about that?
I think they may be very surprised when they return to see what the house looks like after the neighbor feeds us for the last time. That’s our secret, though.
Have a beautiful day in the Florida Keys…I know Penn and I will 🙂
|So the dogs begged to do the weekend picks, then bailed on me while I was cooking dinner. Who am I kidding, I wasn’t cooking dinner tonight…I dress like this to do the laundry! Priss has decided to call this “the music and museum weekend”. Whatever you call it, just enjoy!
“We’ll Be Forever Loving You”, Friday (23rd) at 8pm, St. Peter’s Episcopal Church (800 Center Street). “Music in Paradise” will present a reception featuring violin, piano, and vocals. This all-candidates (Fantasy Fest) fundraiser for AIDS Help is an evening of romantic classics, complimentary champagne, and Chambord. Following the reception will be a “meet & greet” with the artists and the King & Queen candidates. Admission is $40 at the door. For more information, call (305)-517-6851.
“The Key West Music Festival”, Saturday (24th) from noon to 6pm at the Smokin’ Tuna Saloon (4-6 Charles Street). This is a benefit for the Sister Season Fund, a charity that assists locals in the tourism industry who are temporarily out of work due to illness. With more than 20 performers, Sister Season Fund hopes this will be an annual event. Admission is free but please make a donation at the door 🙂 For more information, call (305)-849-0991 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
“Smithsonian Magazine’s 7th Annual Museum Day”, Saturday (24th) from 9:30am to 4:30pm. The Key West Lighthouse and Keeper’s Quarters Museum, along with the Custom House Museum, take part in this annual Museum Day. Doors will be open free of charge, courtesy of Smithsonian magazine.
