A Key West “Year in the Life”:Prissy Style

Published by Miss Prissy on June 28th, 2011 - in Out & About
It has now been over one whole year that I have been a Key West local.  Prior to my move, I visited 20 times in total, 14 of those being from January 2009-May 2010.  The move had been on my mind for a long time and on June 26, I left my old life in central New York behind and got on the road.  At 9:30pm on June 28, I finally made it to Key West.  Let’s just say life has been interesting ever since.

Pisces: The Birthday Experience

Published by Miss Prissy on June 27th, 2011 - in Restaurant Reviews
While yes, I have previously reviewed Pisces (See November 2010), it has been a while, plus…I have pictures now!  Prissy was especially giddy walking into Pisces with her Greg as she was sporting the Happy Birthday Manolo Blahniks.   Since I already explained the atmosphere in said prior post, I’m just going to concentrate on the food.  Maybe not so much on this dish, the Pisces Aphrodite, as I did go on and on about it in November.  Ahhhh, why not?

A Priss Looks at 48

Published by Miss Prissy on June 26th, 2011 - in Out & About
Wow, 48 years ago, the woman who would grow up to be Priss entered this world.  Okay, this picture is not a “birth” picture, but really? Nobody but the child’s parents want to see a two-second old kid (I don’t, not even of me) … and back in 1963, there weren’t pictures of babies covered in goo circling family living rooms.  So yes, this picture is of Your’s Truly, and I don’t know how old I was…but hey, I was kinda cute!  So while Priss doesn’t think she’s quite old as dirt yet (though younger readers may disagree), it sure does seem as though a lot has happened in my <ahem> short life.

Geiger Key Fish Camp

Published by Miss Prissy on June 21st, 2011 - in Restaurant Reviews
After much much back and forth on Saturday evening at Kimberley’s “Totally Bitchin’ 80’s Party”, we decided upon Geiger Key Fish Camp for breakfast on Sunday morning.  It was close to home and we could get mimosas prior to noon, so it worked quite nicely.  Sunday was a somewhat overcast day, which was fine…it was still beautiful here in the Keys.  Let it be known though, that Fish Camp has a “transitional menu” at this point in time.  Bobby Mongelli was leasing the restaurant to two women who left the area at the end of May.
